Getting to Wellfleet is easy, even with the dreaded summer traffic. Without traffic, Wellfleet is two hours from Boston and five hours from New York City; with traffic, who can tell?
From Boston, follow Route 3 headed South and then follow the directions below.
From New York City, follow 95 North to Providence, and then go East on 195, following signs to "Cape Cod."
Both routes will lead you to the Sagamore Bridge. From the bridge, follow Route 6 East, going through the Orleans Rotary. Another 15 miles along Route 6 will bring you to Wellfleet. Turn left at the big green sign that reads "Wellfleet Ctr. & Harbor," and then take your first left onto East Commercial Street. About a half mile down Commercial Street, at the intersection with Bank Street, the Customs House sits on the left just beyond the Town Landing Park (a good place to park).
